I have installed Revit from the link which autodesk sent me..and it was set by metric system. I could change metric system to inch for project, but the wall, doors, and other materials remain by metric system.
What is problem with this? Is this something wrong with me when installing Revit? or link itself?
You need to create a project from an Imperial template. If it was metric, everything is metric. That is the simple solution.
If you are already too far along on your project, then go to the Manage Tab and click on Project Units and change accordingly. You will have to modify all text and dimension styles along with any metric families to be the proper units though.
Take a look here: http://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2016/ENU/?guid=GUID-851D6C9F-3E00-460D-B49E-341C22D3B9B5
When modifying the content libraries you can select which template is default.
When you create a new project, Create New, but don't select a template and click Browse. Make sure that the list of templates is looking under US Imperial. Default.rte is the Architecture template.
If you see something else, such as US Metric, then you need to modify your template locations in the options. (Big R-->Options-->File Locations)
