Revit suitability

Hi

I have a one man architectural practice and currently used AcadLT for my CAD needs.  I tend to get involved with residential projects on existing buildings and one off new builds but then also do a good bit of work on listed buildings too.  I  want to bring 3D into my day to day work and help me communicate my ideas more - I currently have a guy who helps me using SketchUp to model my projects but I need to be doing it more myself at the early stages in projects.

I'm considering Revit LT but i'm worried it's not really suitable for me due to size and type of projects I tend to work on.  I don't generally work on projects which require multiple inputs from other consultants and I'm considering if i'd be better off sticking with LT and just using SketchUp more to present my ideas day to day.

Does anyone have any advice or operate with Revit in a similar setup to me?

So, basically your wondering if you should put time and efforts into learning Sketchup, a 3D modeling software, or Revit LT, a BIM modeling software.  I'd go with the Building Information Modeling Software myself.
