Be sure that the templates you are using are in the US Imperial directory... It may be using the US Metric if you are installing outside of the US.
As for families that are not showing up...you have to load them into your project. Then you will see them in the drop down list on the Properties window when you place the specified family type.

That's because when you installed the program, either Imperial content wasn't set as the default content, or wasn't included at all. See if you can change the Architectural Template to Imperial within Revit:
If you can then it was installed. Then go ahead and set it as the default Family Template location:
If you don't see the English_I folder then the Imperial content wasn't installed altogether. You have to run a re-install and add it.
2. Also when i try to add doors. It only gives me options for a single door. No overhead garage doors or double glass doors. However when I look in my library folder under doors, I can see those doors are in the folder.
