Revit Steps in Topography

I have a survey which has flat rocky steps which I'm trying to import into Revit as a Topography. Problem is Revit smooth's the surface out and steps disappear into the topography surface.

Is there a way around this?

Did you create the topo from a DWG or a point file?  If a point file than the steps should remain, if a DWG then I can see why Revit smooths the geometry out.  If you don't have a point file then you can add building pads to the topo in Revit to replicate the steps, or manually copy a set of points down or up to create the steps (but it can be difficult if the site is complex).

It is a drawing file (DWG). It has points in it along with survey lines and steps outlines. If this what you mean?

I may have imported drawing file without the points. I will give it another try, otherwise I will replicate the steps as you say.

A point file mean a text file, CSV or TXT format.

Oh ok, can a CSV or TXT file be created from an AutoCAD file? I don't have Civil 3D.

No. AutoCAD can't generate point files.
