Revit: split multi-layer wall?

I would like to know if it is possible to split a multi-layer wall into its respective layers. For example, if a wall consists of three layers, I would like to divide this one wall element into three individual elements.

Thanks!

You can convert them to parts and you are able to select those wall layer individually.

If you won't what to create parts, which may not be ideal, then duplicate the 3-layered wall 3 times, and create 3 single-layered wall types by removing layers from the duplicates --and then "sandwich" them together into a 3-layered assembly.

Note: All Layers will become "Core" Layers.

Thank you very much for your help!

I have now tried to move the single elements. But this does not seem to be possible. Can I still just move the entire wall together?

Parts are only Visible when the View's Parts Visibility Parameter is set to "Parts" or "Both".  Also, be aware that Parts are a different Category. A Wall Category Schedule won't include Wall PARTS.  Additionally, Parts cannot exist without the Original condition. So your Project will have both Wall Parts and Walls in it.

Parts are part of the wall. If you move the wall, the parts will go with it. However if you want to move the layer, you can do it with the displacement tool. This feature will only work for 3d views.

Great, thank you for your help again! Now I can move them. @syman2000

@barthbradleythanks for the hint! For now, it doesn't seem to be a problem that I have walls and parts in the project. However, I may be overlooking future problems here. The view has not been a problem, how can I change it if it is deactivated? I couldn't find anything in the View tab to do this. Thank you!

Are you saying the View's "Parts Visibility" is inaccessible (grayed out)?  A View Template must be controlling it then.

When I activate or deactivate parts in the tab "Graphics" --> "Visibility/ Graphics" --> "parts", nothing changes in the display. Are you talking about this?
