Revit Shared Parms in Finish Schedule

Hello,

I am interested in adding shared parms to a schedule. For example, a Plumbing Schedule, I have a toilet, fixtures, sink, etc. If I use the family content from a manufacturer, such as Toto, the family may not contain all the information I wish to schedule. I don't really want to modify each family that I am placing in the bathroom.

Or is that the only way I can do it?

Just add the shared (or non-shared) parameters directly to the schedule in the project as shown below  then they will be added to all elements of the category.
