Revit server and clients requirements

Dear all,
I am planning to setup a revit server with the requirements shown in the hardware requirements section here but i want to make sure that:
-Users pcs will only run the revit from the server which means all the processing will be done in the server side?
- do i need in the users pc a dedicated graphics card or a basic graphics card will fit.?
- what is the recommended requirements of users pcs runing revit from the server ?

Server is not what you think. Revit still runs locally on the users PC. Server just stores the Central file and allows other Central Files to stay in synch across different physical locations.

User pcs need to be able to run Revit, so full specs required.

Hi I had a few questions in regards to a Revit Server. I read that the primary usage of a Revit Server is to allow multi clients computers to connect to it and work on the same project simutaneously saving to the server's central file. i would like to ask a few questions because I plan on building a Revit Server and just want to make sure I'm making the right choices for the hardware that will be used.. Thank you

1. I read that on a Revit Workstation, generally the Revit software uses a single processor so having a fast single processor would be more ideal than having a multi-core  processor. Is this true?

2. On a  Revit server, does it matter if you have a fast video card or not? I'm assuming it doesn't since its just a  system used for multiple users to connect to files stored on the server. If that's the case, would you say configuring the hard disk to have maximum I/O would be the primary thing to concentrate on?

3. What server motherboard would you recommend for a Revit Server. I was thinking of building it based on a dual Intel Xeon E5-2697   2.7ghz, 12-Core processor.. so a totol of 24-Cores/48 Threads, 64GB RAM, SAS 10K RPM running on RAID-5.

Thank you...
