REVIT SERVER 2017 arrayelemsdb.dll

After installing Revit 2017 and running the program for the first time i got this error message:

Revit could not load C:\program files\autodesk\revit 2017\arrayelemsdb.dll

I have searched for fixes and have not found anything that works.

I have tried the repair and reinstall options. Nothing changes.

I am running windows 10. 64 bit.

Any ideas?

Greg

I've seen/heard of folks having oddities inside Revit when its corresponding version of .NET Framework is not happy.  I don't know which one 2017 wants, but maybe go to Add/Remove programs and run repair on the .NET versions that have close install dates to Revit 2017.  You most likely have multiple in there, so I would do one at a time, meaning run repair, open Revit, repeat until it's fixed or you have run out of .NETs.

In the worst cases, removing older .NETs was required to fix the DLL error.  Again, one at a time, and I would start with the oldest one... and as always back up before kicking the PC so hard.

Hi Greg,

Be sure all the prerequisites are addressed. If they’re not, RS won’t work.

Thanks for the responses, but I still can't get it to work.

Please note that this isn't a server application, it is a standalone installation...Sorry, the "server" word got added to my subject line without me realizing it.

Any other ideas?

Greg

I have the same issue, but with 2019. it is a student license. I need it to complete a master degree, so I feel rather at a loss right now.
