Revit selection/unselection

Dear all,

I am trying to unselect a specific element from my mouse selection that I am not able to do so by using the filter, as some of the type of element I want to select, and a specific few I would like to deselect, and they are all in close proximity from each other.

In the way that when you hold ctrl and then click on new elements to select, is there a way that I can do this in reverse, to deselect elements?

Thanks in advance! Nina

Is there a way I can set up options/settings to hold shift for selecting multiple elements and hold control for deselecting one element at a time? It's currently doing the opposite. Rhino3D does it by using CTRL to deselect, this is my preference. Is this change possible?

No, there is no option to reverse that. It is configured to be consistent with Window's standards for selection in this regard.
