Revit Roof keeps splitting even though waves are same height

So I’ve got an issue I can’t seem to resolve. I have a simple gable roof with a dormer coming off the side. I have cut out a section of the main roof to go around the dormer but now the roof plane is split and the one eave doesn’t line up with all the other ones. I’ve already tried to use the align eaves tool but that doesn’t work. Any suggestions? I’ve attached a picture of the problem.

try trimming the roof with the vertical opening tool.

Don't edit the footprint of the main roof. Cut it using former tool or vertical cut opening tool.

This worked! Thank you. I guess being lazy and not using the right tools doesn’t work well. Appreciate it.
