Revit publish to Bluebeam .pdf - filename dots replaced with dashes

Hi All,

When publishing sheets from Revit to .pdf using the Bluebeam printer the resultant filenames are published with the dots in the name replaced with dashes. EG 6.00 is changed to 6-00.  Does anyone else experience this or know how to fix this?

As a second question is there a way to change the settings to publish the file with just the sheet name rather than all of the file name and sheet title?

Thanks for any suggestions,

Chuck

If you use Revit 2022 then the native PDF Export will not replace . with -.

If you must use Bluebeam to create PDF then you may need to use a batch renaming tool to replace - with . after the fact.

Thank you for the reply. - I can't believe I missed the .pdf export tool, and have been using the print button... The Export is way better and behaves as you describe. - It also appears to answer my second question in that it gives a wide range of naming options using parameters. I can publish .pdfs with just the Sheet Number, or Sheet Number - Sheet Title, or File Name - Sheet Number - Sheet Title_Current Revision, etc. etc. - It also respects various sheet sizes, which the print feature does not. previously I had to publish only a single size set of sheets at a time. Now I can publish different sheet sizes at the same time.

Very cool and very helpful!

Thank you!
