Actually a little bit confused whether I should post this to Architecture or Structure Forum, however, I already did 3D modeling for a 12 floor building with 60x60m area. I made the concrete element and architectural element in 1 file, the size is okay, around 175MB (compacted). I planned to build the MEP in another linked file. Now, there is a request to add reinforcement into the concrete element (a detailed version, to calculated the steel bar consumption, not just an estimated value, but importing the structural reinforcement drawing from structural consultant into the model, for RC element, i.e. beam, column, slab, wall). I never did the reinforcement in Revit before. Do you think it is feasible? I heard that adding reinforcement into Revit Model will make it much slower in Revit performance, how can I tackle it?
Thanks so much beforehand!
Yeah We can do The reinforcement is Typical, Do it For One Section and Copy that to all other remaining sections!
