Revit Parametric Family

I would like to create a wall system similar to the parametric louver system. However, I am facing difficulty in setting up the parameter. It doesn't allow me to set the parameter for the panel after I placed the center of the frame as the outer line of my family.

I would like to create some equal divided panel within a frame in which the panel  (with details) can be equally divided within a frame.

I have attached some images and hope someone can help me.

Depending on how complex you are trying to make this panel system, perhaps using the Curtain Wall command with a custom panel will do for you.

It is not clear from the images which family category template you are using. You need to model it similar to the parametric louvers in a curtain panel template. It is basically hopeless to model everything in the panel family; you need to work with nested elements for both Frame and Panels

  1. model the single panel in a generic model
  2. nest the above into a line based family where it is arrayed
  3. nest the array into the curtain panel family and lock it to the left and right reference planes

Same applies for the frame

Here is an example using entire Curtain Wall for the frame and replace panels with a Louver panel type.  The louver panel is also a curtain wall with horizontal mullions as blades.

I think it is more flexible and easy to work with than create and manage an array in a family.
