Revit on Mac Parallels Graphic Card issues

I know there are a lot of posts about that already, Believe me I tried everything.

I'm a student using Revit for a while with my Mac with Parallels Desktop which I purchased especially for this reason, But still unfortunately can't use it properly because of graphic card issues.

This is very annoying and frustrating, Not just that Autodesk should've make the softwares adaptable for Mac long ago, It only works with Hp , Dell and Fujitsu drivers and doesn't recognize the Parallels driver.

I can see there a lot of ppl having this issue and no one actually get the problem solved but still the thread are checked as solved as if you trying to ignore this problem continuously.

I'm looking forward for your reply and to get this problem solved.

Attached pictures that might help you understand the problem better.

Hi @Anonymous

Welcome to the Autodesk community and thanks for posting on the Revit Architecture forum! Smiley Happy

Which version of Revit are you using? Have you checked for any recent updates from the Autodesk Desktop App?

Issue 1:

When running Revit in a virtualized environment such as Parallels or VMware, you get an error stating "Hardware Acceleration disabled. Software emulation mode is in use.", and you cannot enable Hardware Acceleration in the Revit Options.

Probable Causes:

This is expected as the issue is that Revit does not see the hardware video card (and driver) only the virtualized one.

Solution:

As Hardware Acceleration is disabled, checking the box to save Hardware Acceleration setting should prevent the box from showing up in the future.

Issue 2:

This error typically indicates that the Autodesk Materials library was not installed with the Revit software.

Solution: To resolve this issue, install the Autodesk Materials library, as follows:

  1. Start the Revit installation program and proceed to the Install > Configure Installation page.
  2. Under Shared Components, select the check box for the Autodesk Material Library.
  3. Click Install.

After the installation finishes, restart the Revit software. The rendering library error should no longer display.
