Revit NOT asking would you like to attach highlighted walls to roof

Trying to add a roof to a structure. I select thee of walls the roof will sit on and draw a line for the 4th side. Set my overhang and set my slope on two four sides. However when I hit the green check i don't get an option for "would you like to attach highlighted walls to roof" My roof floats a couple of feet above my walls. Any suggestions on what i am doing wrong. Thanks

Do it manually then. Attach Top/Base will show up on the Contextual Tab when you select the Wall.

If i do it manually it brings my wall up to the roof instead of the roof down to my wall... Actions

I looked at your video. I can see you attached one wall to the roof.  What else do you want to do?

...I do see that your walls are unsupported. What is the design intent. How are they supported. A stem-wall maybe?

Yea I can attach the walls to the roof however the wall gets taller instead of the roof coming down to the wall.... The roof should be lower than the roof already there. However every time i add it it is 2 feet or so above the existing roof.

I'm not following you. Neither the Wall or Roof is moving. The top of wall is attaching to the underside of the Roof.  The base of the wall is unchanged.

...I think what you want to do is move your roof down AND attach the the wall; right? You want the roof at the same plate height as the others; right?

That Blue roof section should be on top of the walls. It should be lower than the roof to the left. It is currenlty like a foot above it. revit_roof.png

I suspect it is because it is drawn that way. But, no matter, just move the roof down.

If you'd like to know why Revit is drawing it that way, then post the file.

...here's an educated guess: the roof slopes are not the same.  The roof you drew has two different slopes.

The roof elevation doesn't change when you attach the walls to it.  The roof elevation is set by select the roof and change from properties, or moved vertically in an elevation/section view.

Thanks! I was trying to adjust the roofs elevation from a 3d View. I did it under elevations and all is good now. Thanks again

What the heck?!  Why does the solution credit go to @ToanDN? He just repackaged what I already said.  Are you guys related or something? Maybe the same person?

Why wait, Brian? Do it now.  It's as easy as making a Roof in Revit.  he, he.
