Revit needs 22 gb of space for installation when I want to download on my /D:drive and I put the files where to install to be only to be in D drive but it says I need 22 gb free space in my /C:drive. I don't have much space on C drive so could someone help me so all downloads are only the d drive

you don't enough harddisk space so can't install the program? another way you can do is to delete those program installed that you don't need to clear space , another way is to add another secondary harddisk. just saying thanks

Hi,

I ran into the same problem. Even if I set my Autodesk App to download files to directory on D:\ drive, it still loads them on C:\ drive and requires rediculous 22GB of space. I know it shouldn't be a big deal today as drives are getting bigger and bigger, but for some people it poses a small problem.

I had to clean up my C:\ drive. I wrote about the problem to confirm what the original post is about. I think that helps too.

This support article is really not helpful—during installation, I can't find the window they're showing where you can select paths for the library content. For some reason, they don't seem to think it's important to tell users how to actually get there.

They're telling you they're directing the install to D Drive. So it should be irrelevant how much disk space is left on C Drive. However apparently AutoDesk is still attempting to install at least something worth 22gb on the C Drive. Just saying Thanks

Why not manually download the file from your account website? File is 2+ GB and should fit.

And theses days, storage is cheap. Just get more or clean up.  Revit likely wants to see more than the file size it since it extracts that file. Windows also sues swap file etc. And an SSD (also HDD) slows down when it gets full. For best performance, upgrade once you reach over 60% or so. Definitely don't let it run out of space.
