No Revit does not work this way, You just create objects (solids or voids) and place or join them together or cut solid with a void. There is less relationships between the objects as there is in Inventor. But then again the object in Revit tend to be (much) simpler than in Inventor.
So if you want to edit a void you would have to select it in the view and then edit it.
