Revit model off axis by a fractional degree

I have a project that I've been working on for a while, and I don't know if this started when I created the project or happened sometime working in it, but all the elements of the project are tilted ever so slightly of of 90 degrees, and when I draw something new, it snaps to 'horizontal' which is also just slightly off 90 degrees. I don't get any warnings (slightly off axis) and I'm able to dimension normally, but having the entire model just slightly off axis creates problems for us later on. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've attached a screen shot and the revit file for reference.

You could try rotating your project North by aligning to a wall...

Did you by chance create the project based on an autocad file?

I didn't start it from an AutoCAD file. How would I rotate the project North by aligning to a wall if all the walls (and everything new I draw) is off axis?

Well, they are off axis for a reason...usually an Autocad file is to blame or a property line that is not square.

If all your walls are off-axis, which is weird if not referenced from something else off-axis, rotating the entire project may help.  The other option is to recreate the walls...or just ignore the errors as long as you can.  But you may have issues with sections if they are off-axis enough.

May I make a recommendation? Submit to AutoDesk support.  I just looked at your project. It's strange.  I don't know that it is off-axis. I do see what you are talking about, but I think there's something else going on with it.  I'm finding it impossible to draw a straight line.

I don't get any errors, and it appears that the project settings are off
axis. When I draw a new line or wall, it snaps to 'horizontal' which is
like .01 degrees off from horizontal. Is there a project setting that could
change this? I checked both True North and Project North, and everything is
set to 0,0,0.

Exactly. I did submit to autodesk and I am awaiting their response.

Create a new reflected ceiling plan...something is goofy with that view.  Your walls on the floor plan are fine.

Your messed up view is acting like someone tried to rotate the crop region.

When I created a new RCP everything looked aligned. I'm wondering what happened to the original view such that it was off-axis, and how the snaps in that view are also tilted. So weird. Thanks!

Keep in mind that you have some may have elements that were draw in that 'off-axis" view, that may be seen in other views and be "off-axis" in those views.  I just tested.

@Anonymous is spot on!  Crop Boundary was rotated a hair. Easy fix.  Rotate Crop by Place Center of Rotation Method.  First pick: Snap to lower-left corner of Crop Boundary.  Second pick: Snap to lower-right corner of Crop Boundary. Third and final pick: pick a point in space to the right of the lower-right corner of the Crop Boundary.  Crop Boundary will straighten out.

P.S. Make sure Snaps are on, and that you have a 0 Angular Snap Increment.

Great news! Easy fix! Now I have to figure out how it got rotated. There are only 3 of us working in this project, and I don't think anyone would deliberately rotate the crop region. So far, everyone thinks it's my fault, but I have never rotated a crop region before. Is there any way this can happen by accident?

I've screwed up the crop before when placing on a sheet.  Maybe you were contemplating a different rotation on the sheet and were trying to fix the way some annotations are shown in rotated views on sheets.  There is a workflow  that requires rotating the crop as well as the Viewport to correct the way some annotations are oriented.

Just a thought.

I would create a Scope Box in a 'straight' view and assign it to the rotated view(s).  If you have many views with the same crop area, assign the Scope Box to them as well.  That's the easy way to make sure they are all consistent and correct.

Thanks! Great advice. Do you know what the workflow is for doing it
correctly for future projects?

I have the same issue. I don’t know what happened. No idea who rotated or just one click modified it.

I’m going to the office to resolve this problem, hopefully it works.

I cannot fix this model off axis. Going back to old files looks like something happened at the moment to rotate the true north.

Not sure how to fix this, Please help.
