Hello,

does anyone now a way to assign one material to be shown on multiple displays.

I have a video wall - 3 rolls x 9 displays and I need one image to be assigned on multiple displays so

lets say that 3 rolls x 3 displays would show one image.

Greatly appreciate your help.

See attached images. I am assuming this is what you are trying to do?

If so:

Under your material turn off tile (both directions), and set the width/height (turn off locked proportions) to the same dimensions of the surface. For me, I also had to offset it (couldn't figure out why) and it all lined up.

A) Now showing on multiple displays, if its just a generic component set a material perimeter to it, and apply your material. You will need to create 3 different copies (or types) of the component if you want 3 different textures on it.

B) You can also just make your 3 different textures and "cheat" by using the paint tool under modify. Keep in mind the paint tool has some limitations and will not work on some surfaces. In that case use option A.

I hope this helps.

Hi, @ikocev , if you use a image software to divide your full image into the pieces you want on each of your monitors, and then apply the pieces as an image for appearance properties of the materials, using one diferente material for each monitor. Would that be a solution?
