Revit massing and adaptive panels are super powerful, but extremely buggy and under documented. Is there a plan to keep developing these tools? It seems like the same bus we had 5 years ago are still there and I've seen no improvement in Revit Massing for a long time.
The tool is so underused that few people are able to discs it and most users use Sketchup or Rhino to do the architectural design work. Its hard to convince people to use a tool that Autodesk does not develop, understand or seem to believe in.
Please give this tool a much needed face lift. This would help the efficiency of architectural office, so we can finally kick Rhino and Sketchup out the door and do our design work in Revit.
Hi @Anonymous
Thank you for your post.
I see that you would like to see more enhancements in the area of Revit mass functionality. I find important to express your requests, ideas in Revit Ideastation- this is the official way of "promoting" ideas and gathering support from the community. I can communicate this need to our development team as well additionally.

Thanks for the feedback.
The Idea station is the place where you can communicate these kind of requests with the product team. If you have specific requests for functionality in massing that would be more actionable than the general statement of "needs to be improved". If you have specific requests please add them to the Idea Station.

As for documentation, I might be able to help with that and that is easier to update than software functionality. Do you have specific areas where you think the documentation on massing is lacking? If you have some suggestions on that, i can take them here and work to get the documentation updated.
Hi @Orsolya.Balazs The massing tool in Revit are underutilized, so posting an idea on how to fix a bug about it does not really work. I won`t be able to achieve 100+ posts votes, because most users have not tried to explore massing.
They either don't know about it or they gave up when they saw all that was not working or not documented.
Please forward this need to developers and give us some kind of hope that this is still being improved and worked on. It`s basically been radio silence on this since Zach Kron has left to go work on Dynamo.
I thin there is missing documentation on the bugs and challenges that happen when modelling a real project.
If you try to us massing on a real shape and project, you will see the bugs I am talking about almost immediately.
The problem is that these bugs are so obscure for the majority of users (since the majority of users don't use massing) that it is quite hard to troubleshoot. It also seems like the bugs are not being worked out, since I am still seeing the same behaviours as many years ago.

I appreciate that, I think these kinds of things are difficult to document in the online help and perhaps better reported to support and a specific knowledge base article can be created on the "bug" if it is easily reproduced. If you have any other suggestions for documentation that are more general use topics, I would be glad to help with that.
