I have modelled a 20 unit development and on the site plan linked the revit files of the varying house types. All house types repeat and are mirrored etc. Previously I have rendered the individual houses and the site plan with all units, without a problem. When I render the individual house in the original revit file all is fine.
But now in the site model, columns don't appear on some of the houses. It is not limited to one type but very random. This only happens when rendered. The columns are visible in the site model 3d views.
The columns are structural timber columns with a metal powdercoat finish. I have tried changing the finish but this doesn't make a difference.
I have attached a few of the images with the missing columns to the back and front verandahs.
Please provide a solution! Thanks
Thank you for your posting @Anonymous.
Please refer to this and see if this helps:
Also please make sure that Revit is up-to-date. Have you tried to adjust rendering settings? Does it make any difference?
I have Revit LT 2017 and have downloaded the last update. No change. I have tried adjusting the rendering settings but no change also...
Any other suggestions?
I have been experimenting with options to make this work and it appears that I can only link one unit type into the project and can't copy the link within the same file. This is not ideal because it means I have to save the same unit type as a separate file to link into the project multiple times. This obviously becomes a problem if I want to make a design adjustment to the original file and then need to update into the site plan.. very time consuming!
I don't understand why the change, as previously I was able to render the same file with none of these problems.
Can someone please provide a solution?
