Revit LT for professional interior designer

Hello, I am a professional interior designer based in the UK. I currently use AutoCAD and sketchup with vray for work. While I enjoy using my current software, I find it incredibly tedious drawing everything in AutoCAD and then redrawing in SKU. Every design change essentially means amending in both software packages.

I'm looking into Revit LT, as budget doesn't allow for full version at present. I've seen some great threads here showing what Revit can do for ID, but less so for what LT can do for ID.

We got a basic crash course in Revit at university, but only basic stuff. My requirements are:

Floor plans, sections and elevations, along with construction detailing.

Detailed bespoke cabinetry drawings

Ability to design bespoke furniture

Lighting design and placement

Visuals

I know I can do all of this in the full Revit, but no sure if LT offers the option to do all of the above?

Cheers

You can do most of what you want in RVT LT... I would recommend the full version with the add-in for Enscape as well.  It will make everything look really nice for presentations to clients.  Good luck to you!

LT won't be able to have plugin if you into visual rendering. For instance if you want to use Enscape, you are out of luck with LT. There are some features not available in LT like Workset, dynamo and use of adaptive component if you want to do complex organic modelling.

Thank you for the replies. At present, cloud rendering will be sufficient, I need to factor in the costs per render, but for a draft/low quality there is no cost if I remember correctly from my university years?

I'll try the trial of LT and see what I can do!

Your biggest issues w/ LT will be the bespoke/one-off stuff.  LT does not have the "Model In Place" functionality of full Revit.  You will have to create an external family file for it and import the custom family.
