Revit LT 2023 doesn't install content libary automatically? And 17GB isn't enough space to download manually?!

Installed Revit LT 2023 and cannot find the default families.  There is no Library directory in C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RLT 2023.

I thought I could just download the content library manually, but it appears Autodesk forces me to make and download an installer package.  I was sure to check "Use symbolic links" since it says that reduces the deployment image size.

When I run the installer package (it says "Creating installer) it gets to about 88% then starts to Finalize the installer then starts to install Revit 2023?!  I cancelled because I don't want to install ANOTHER copy of 2023- I just want the content library.  Any suggestions?

If you are connected to the internet while working this is how i access the library from autodesk since i also couldn't download it!

In Revit click insert

click load autodesk family

it will open another dialog box and you can click the globe to doublecheck its giving you the correct country for the library

then you can search or click through the categories on the left side!

Hope this helps

@vanessaH6CHCAdvice is correct .

if you want to install content you do it separately!

I think this us that way it will be in the future as downloads are getting so big but also it’s easier to manage from a developer perspective
