I'm doing TI CD's using Revit LT 2019 for an architect client. They sent me (2) files total....(1) Full Revit TI file and (1) Full Revit shell file. This is how the project is set up at their office. The shell information is existing to remain and the TI's are new work. I want to work with the TI information only while the un-editable shell information is also shown in the background.
When I opened the Full Revit TI file an LT copy was made automatically which is normal. However when I opened my LT copy all the existing shell information was already in the model as new, individual items. The first place I went is to manage links and there were no Revit files linked to my copy. As an experiment I linked the revit shell base file to my copy and the shell information showed up as un-editable exactly as I wanted it. The problem is now I have two copies of the shell information in the same file.
Question: Why is the shell information showing up as individual items in my TI file automatically when there are no other revit files linked to it.
