Revit Lighting with IES files seems dark

I've placed some site lighting into a project.  The lights have about 10975.5 lumens.  However, when doing any renderings they seem very dark.  How accurate are the ies files in Revit?

Thanks in advance for any help.

hi @dshirley1

Rendering doesn't rely solely on the IES files and how many lumens a group of lighting has...i am assuming it's a night exterior rendering...if you say ANY rendering you do is turning then there must be other factors you need to look into...some quick things you might want to try for a trial are

  1. Adjusting exposure
  2. use a black background or image instead
  3. Sun settings (time/location/season) - ex: effect is minor but I rarely get any nice night rendering when I use current location 🙂 so I always tend to change those settings for ext. night renders

There are other things to look into such as surrounding material properties (reflect/absorption); the IES files; type of light...
