Hi , im trying to install " lighting insight" into revit from an educator account. Its confusing , some pages refer to " Add ons " some to " Insights" . If i go through the manage autodesk accounts route , it sends me to the US page , then if i opt to stay local it loops me back to the autodesk home page . any advice on how to get " Insight lighting analysis for Revit 2025? thanks

Download the Lighting Extension through your autodesk.manage.com account portal.

Hi All,

I just wanted to mention that the Lighting Analysis cloud server is not working with Revit 2025.2 or 2025.1. You'll get an "unexpected error..." message when trying to upload your model to the cloud server for calculation.

This issue can be resolve by uninstalling Revit 2025.1 or 2025.2, then reinstalling Revit 2025 (no update). You'll also need to reinstall the Lighting Analysis plugin again.

Here's the official solution from Autodesk:

I'm teaching Lighting Analysis this semester F24 and glad that Autodesk released a temp solution on this; otherwise, I would have had to abandon my Revit lighting anlysis assignment.
