We have an issue where, there is a Site model /Layout and many house types to be linked in. My question is, how do I stop the grass from each house type link showing up in the model layout?
Methods already tried include;
1)Visibility graphics doesn't cut it as un-checking topography removes "all" grass in layout.
2)Hiding by element is a slow/ monotonous method.
Any help/advice - much appreciated.

considering main model and linked unit model..
1. In unit model ( ex Unit 01 ) create a plan view, name it as "Plan for link ", control all the graphics the way
you want to show it in the main model..
( make sure you create this views scale matching with the main model site plan ex: 1:500 )
2. secondly when this unit is linked in the main file.. in Visibility graphics, for that particulat
unit ( Unit 01 ), change the graphics to "By linked View " ( not by host view ) and choose "Plan for link "view...
this will hide anything in the site plan including floor, grass etc.. and will give you clean plan..
have a go..
Best luck.
So, it sounds like you need a Grass Plan. No, I'm not trying to being funny. The point I'm making is that is sounds like your Topography is assigned the Material of Grass. Sounds like you want it to be Earth, and on top of this Earth you have strategically placed turf. Right?

If you can hide the elements one by one, then you can hide them all at once with a filter. No?
I'm taking about creating a selection set Filter. You're saying you can hide the elements individually; right? Can't you Select Similar?
You can make a filter for Topography based on the instance parameters in the Identity Data , i.e. Comments, Name or Mark.
