Revit is rendering black

Hello,

I am trying to render a 3D interior view of my project for my final and the render is showing black.

My troubleshooting consists of the following.

  1. I made sure the camera is not in a wall or other element.
  2. An error with missing material images appeared and I resolved all conflicts. For those I could not connect to the original jpg - the materials were deleted and all unused families purged.
  3. I was having an issue with a black render previously and found that Phases can cause issues. The solution suggested changing the filters to "By Cateogry". This worked for that image but not for this one. I don't use filters because I am in school, so this confuses me on how it can be an issue. I then even deleted all the default phases and this did not work either.
  4. I do have a large number of luminaire in the project, but they all show to be check marked with the render setting to Sun and Artificial light.

Can someone help suggest another solution? My project is attached below

Thank you.

hi @ashley.foster2

you do have issues with the exposure value of the renderings

** also you do need to insert more lights and tweak the intensity and reach of all of those

for sun only try to modify exposure value to see the rendering

with artificial only you do have same issue

try modifying the exposure value as well

you have too dark this value all over the images

I tried making the changes you suggested as well as changing the lights I placed because 17W was too low, but I am still getting a black box.

Hi @ashley.foster2

delete all your lights in the project

these are causing that you can not render it (they are badly done in REVIT)

replace those with the one I'm attaching

it will work

and also adjust the exposure value in general

Choosing a different IES File for the "Lighting_Fixture-Lutron-Recessed-Finire-3in-Round-Downlight.rfa" seems to correct the Rendering issues at my end.

Can you post the "Finire RD DL HO 2700K 28 WH No Glass.ies" file?

FWIW: I'm seeing no issues with your Light Fixture Families. They all Render fine on my end.
