revit is not launching after windows update. (Yes. I've tried EVERYTHING!)

After windows update Revit 2018 does not launch no matter what.

The journal says it:

I've tried:

- Reinstall all  c++ Libraries.

- Reinstall Revit.

- Downgrade Net. Framework (Maximum i could was 4.7)

- Redo Windows Updates.

- Undo Windows updates.

- Lots of solutions proposed in this forum for similar issues.

- Rename the license folder to generate it new again.

- Hot fixes from Autodesk.

 

What i didn't try:

Reinstall windows (And i don't really want it. If it Update again maybe i'll have the same problem...)

 

I don't know what to do anymore.

Yes. I've tried both

Run in compatibility mode (All versions), Turn off firewall and anti-virus while installing and running, empty temp folder, update video cards (Intel and nvidia). I've downloaded the whole software again...

I'm desperate... Haha

I've been trying to make this work for a week at least.

Can you run Revit when you log in to Windows as a different user?

I just tried to run revit using a different user. Still the same...

 

I think i will need to reboot my pc from 0....

Sorry to hear that you are having issues.

 

I'm assuming you would have tried this, but a clean uninstall, re-install sometimes can resolve the issue.

I'm wondering if you get an error message when trying to open the programs? Does the issue occur with any other programs? Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling the third-party programs which are causing the issue?


I would suggest you try a clean boot
How to Perform a Clean Boot (Applies to Windows 10)

 

If nothing helps, please post a full journal and a data-set.

Check to see if Update 1809 was installed.  Have heard lots of people having issues with this one and if so, try uninstalling it.  Unfortunately, I know some folk have had to reinstall Windows after this update.  

 

How Windows 10 was installed seems to really affect how this update wreaks havoc with Autodesk programs.  Workstations installed with 1803 seem to be immune, but older versions or those upgraded from 7 or 8 seem to not like the update.

 

So if you do have to reinstall Windows, get the latest DVD, not the one that came with the workstation.

I did it all step by step. I'll try to do as @Anonymous said. I'll surrender and reinstall windows using an updated media. I've entered in contact with my PC support and they will provide it for me.
