Hello everyone,
I'm a very new Revit user and therefore still struggling with a lot of basics. I work in a lighting design company and we have received Revit drawings from the architects. I want to have the entire drawing in halftone including the annotation symbols and then place my light fixtures on the drawing in Red. To do this, I changed all my model objects and annotation symbols to halftone but the problem is that if I want to use an annotation symbol like sections then it also comes in halftone. For instance, how can I have my own section line not in halftone?

In Visitbility settings (shortcut vv) , tab Revit Links, click the linked Revit file, and select halftone.
In the annotation tab make sure the checkbox of sections is not checked.
I'm working directly in the architectural model. Is it better to use Revit links?
I do find it very complicated o work in the architectural model because the architects have many of their own settings. I would want to in the future make a teplate for my office with line weights, line styles etc that we could use for all projects. Perhaps, in this case it is better to use the received model as a Revit link? But the issue then is that I want only certain views from the model received and not everything in the model.
Thanks a lot. This is very useful information and I will keep it in mind.
