I would think that revit would have a grass material, but it doesn't seem to or did I miss something?  I look at some videos and info in the forum but nothing for 2020 version.  Suggestions?

Like @ennujozlagam  said there are grass ''materials'' in the appearance library.
Not relevant but, if its for renders, you might want to take a look at the third party add-in enscape.
They've completely distrubed the quick render market and have some of the best grass i've seen.

What you are looking for is an Appearance Asset - not a Material per se. Your installation has both a Material Browser as well as an Asset Browser, which includes Thermal, Physical and Appearance Assets.

(1) Create a New Material, (2) rename "New Material" it to  "Grass" or whatever you prefer, (3) switch to the Appearance Tab, (4) press the "Replace this Asset" button is to open the Asset Browser, (5) type "Grass" in the Asset Browser Search Bar, select one of the many Appearance Assets found, and then (6) press the little blue two arrow button next to the Asset Name to  "Replace the current asset in the editor with this Asset".

I found the 1 "grass" after clicking on a tiny arrow under site and a family listings popped up.  It took a number of times to getting to load but when I rendered it, it looked the same "earth".
