Revit Graphics - Edit Type & Workset Name Text Size

I am wondering why some of the text size goes much larger:

  • Type Selection
  • Edit Type
  • Workset Name

I tried disabling Hardware Acceleration but it did not fix it.
When I close Revit and open it again, it is back to normal, but when I start working, the letters go back to being larger.

I have my laptop connected to 2 screens. It happens on both screens.

Fascinating.

Following...

....maybe a Windows Accessibility Feature turned on?

Check Windows Display Scaling, and match vertical resolution for both screens.

I played around with some of those settings already and it has not fixed it. Like I said, when Revit opens it is ok, then when I open a 3D view, the letters get bigger. The same also applies to the Material Browser

Are you using multiple monitors by any chance?

Yes, I am using 2 monitors. 1 of them mirrors the laptop screen, and the other is number 2. Sometimes I close the laptop lid, and sometimes it is open, but the problem persists.

The 2 monitors are different in size slightly. one is 20in (1) and the other is 22(2). The laptop is a 14in display.

Sized of monitors don't matter, but their resolutions and display scaling do.

yeah didn't think it did matter, but all settings are the same. no issue with any other apps.

And what are they?

Basic apps such as Office, Adobe, CAD also. Nothing as powerful as Revit. . No issue when viewing documents, images, videos, web pages. Only those specific parts of Revit like mentioned above.

I am asking about the settings, not other apps. Other apps behaviors have no bearing on Revit's.

No I mean what are your settings? The number of monitors, size and other apps have no connection with Revit. I think the display resolution and other settings is where we need to look into.

My bad. I seen "and what are they" and the last thing I mentioned is Apps, instead of looking at your highlighted section.

Assumption is the mother of all f**kups 😁

Both Monitors are 1980x1080.

The laptop display is

The laptop lid is closed, and mirrors to screen 1, and extends to screen 2

This is also Windows 11

Following up with more information.

It happens with all Revit versions. When I create a new project in the same Revit window, while the other project is open, the text goes back to normal on both, but then when I change a view or open my 3D view (even though it is empty) the text jumps back larger.

Have you ruled out Add-ons?  Try disabling Add-ons temporarily.

Wait a minute. It happens in ALL Versions? Now I'm more convinced that this is a Windows thing.  You're not using Windows 11 by chance?

Yes, Windows 11. I also removed the monitors and opened Revit on the laptop screen only, and the problem persists.
