Hi there,

I have create a parametric family but when it is uploaded to a project it shows the following message,

An error occurred in family "RECTANGULAR BASIN OK" and was automatically resolved, but may require review by the family creator.
Error Information:
"The constraints of the sketch defining the highlighted element cannot be satisfied."
Error Resolution: Delete Element(s)

Post the family so users can take a look at it. Thanks.

Well, if it actually deleted part and not all of the family, that's a good thing as it narrows down the problem. Open the family and inspect the element its deleting to find out what Revit doesn't like about it. Probably isn't constrained properly. Bet if you flex the family, it'll throw a constraints error on you.

it does delete the whole family.

I have tried in a different way but it shows now Error Information:
"Can't create sweep".

Well, I said what it likely is. A bad constraint. That is, the family probably breaks when you flex it. Typically that is due to improper constraints -- like something not aligned and locked as it should be.  Open the family and flex it like you mean it -- until it breaks to smithereens on you and throws one or more errors.   Generally,  these types  of fixes are pretty quick. .

This is the item that I am creating if someone can give me a clue if there is another way to make it parametric.

The only way that I found to create it was with the "sweep" tool to get the curve shape.

Post the family. I got a few minutes to kill.

the weird thing is that the parameters works perfect in the family file, I am able to change sizes and it works ok but when I uploading it to a project seems the parameters doesn't work anymore.

It is likely the sweep constraints being "improper" and I've run into it infrequently before with getting the same error that you do - it works fine in the family, but then it breaks in the model.

Sometimes, I've found this due to using type parameters instead of instance (or vice versa) and it gives some sort of pinning effect (that isn't shown anywhere) but doesn't allow something to move that "has to" in order for the other parameters to flex. This, to me, often happens with curves (and sometimes angles).

If you're able to and want to really dig into it, I'd start by slowly backing-up the model to make it simpler until you find what makes it work. So, for instance, change the profile so that it doesn't have the curved bottom. Then change it so that it isn't sweeping with curves.

Alternatively, it looks like you could do this (if you aren't) with an extrusion and some voids or even void sweeps that might help it to function. Keyword: might.

Without the family to inspect, that's about all I can get for you.

Probably those 5 radius.

It is the arc and the profile become too small for the sweep as the size get smaller.
