Revit Family

I have this revit family that was drawn in the wrong orientation, meaning what is suppose to be the front elevation was drawn in the Floor Plans: Ref Level, is there a way to change the orientation without having to redraw that whole thing?

when I try to insert this into an elevation the plan view of the family is represented.

I have attached the family.  Thank you in advanced.

You do have two options:

-Host it in another family with correct orientation

-You have not that much constraints, you can also rotate your geometry and set all dimension again.

First one is fast, but for people who don't know this family it is quite unusual.

Second one takes a little bit more time but is your best option.

@dsalvagni - go to a 3D view. Right click on the 3D cube. There are options available that will allow you to reset the front of the family.

That's only to rotate it in Z-axis right? Topicstarter asks to rotate in Y/X-axis...

Don't forget that some families may seem to be incorrect but they were built that way deliberately.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
