Revit Family - label impossible to delete

Hi Revit'ers,

Let's say you have to add legal copyrights to your revit families to avoid having your BIM objects being used generically.

Is it possible to add some type of "logo/sticker/geometry/parameter" that cannot be modified/deleted from the family?

(eg.: built-in parameters can not be modified nor deleted.)

Thanks,

Yara P.

Technically speaking and except for some of the hard coded elements, there is nothing in the Database of the software which you cannot delete. So no your efforts in adding whatever would be a fail...

Unless, you are so keen on it that you are willing to waste valuable time and effort to embed and clutter the model or family with things that the end user would need a decade to track back in order to change/edit...this way he would give up after a few tries to crack it.

Otherwise...do not share parametric families (always use directshapes with ur logo imprinted) and IFC...ie: the end user option would be to delete and remodel or use and have your logo in there model (What many manufacturers do)

Thanks @RDAOU  Very clear👍. I guess the competitors will be happy with that..

I wonder why Autodesk does not create a parameter that can be blocked by the creator tho! That would be great for legal purposes...

There was some idea a few years back for an embeded watermark...tried to find it but couldn't. Maybe you are more lucky or if you want to post a new Idea
