Revit Family - Insertion Point issue

I have a vent family that has clearance  circles for intake and exhaust. They are set to 3' and 10' and when I create an instance my insertion point looks to be at the outer edge of the 10' circle. This make placing it annoying.

How can I set the insertion point to be at the vent? I have double checked the reference lines that are noted to be defining origin are set to the bottom middle of the vent.

Here is a picture of the family, the 'placement side' view.

It is a mechanical family that is wall based.

Thanks

This vent of yours needs a lot of help.

Reverse-engineer the attached vent family to see how to model it.  The key is to model a single blade in a separate family and nest it into the host family where you will associate its parameters to Host Family Parameter -- and then array it.

BTW: Parametric Revit Vent Families are widely available on-line.  You probably could find one like by simply Googling. Check BIMObject.com first.

Thanks for the feedback. This was a family that I found online and changed it enough to make it work for our  project. I will look into the family you posted and update ours.
