Hello - I am using Revit 2023 and have been having the issue where most families do not appear when I try to load families. I have tried downloading family libraries and installing them separately. When that doesn't work, I end up having to do a clean reinstall of Revit. The families will then appear for me in the English-Imperial folder. Then a few days later most of them are no longer visible. Right now, the only two families visible are Route Analysis and Structural Precast. I'm hoping someone can provide a solution so I can stop reinstalling Revit every time they disappear.
I have followed instructions here:
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Autodesk...
I have also downloaded materials library here:
Thank you!
So I'm not the only one who that happened to.... I was too lazy to download over and over and just use the online family content. That seems to be the same families. See screenshot below.
I followed the above instructions and successfully re-instated my local version of the Autodesk families. Will see how long till they disappear again.
I don't know why you say you had to re-install Revit. All you have to do is download and run the exe file for the language you want. i didn't even have to close Revit. While annoying, this makes it less of a deal.
You're in the wrong folder if you only see Route Analysis and Structural Precast.
Never mind, tested more stuff, this is all new to me on 2023, no helpful advice
Thank you. I ran the US English Content for Revit 2023 program again and it resolved the issue for now. Hopefully the families don't disappear again.
You were just in the wrong folder. Happens to the best of us from time to time.
It depends on how you are accessing them.
Have you specified the correct location under Options: File Locations: Places?
You know, for what its worth, Insert => Load Family "remembers" where it was that last time you used Insert => Load Family.
