Revit export/save model pack (including attachments/links)

The ability to export/save a model in a location and it would automatically include any attachments/links no matter the format (ie Other Revit models, IFC files, Autocad drawings....). All file paths would automatically be re-pathed to the files in the pack. This whole pack could then be sent to others

@wr.marshall  Have you used eTransmit on the Add-ins tab of Revit?

Hi, @wr.marshall ,

I thought I commented, but it disappeared. I apologize if this is a duplicate reply. The eTransmit function on the Add-ins tab in Revit will do this for you.

Thank you for your submission!

Kimberly

I really should investigate what all buttons do. Originally was trained on Revit 8.1. But was in a mechanical field between 2010 and 2019 so was using AutoCAD & Inventor. Second time you have pointed a solution out to me. I will give your proposed solution a try. In the interim I assume your solution will resolve, so move this post to the architectural forum.

On a side note though would it not be easier if there was a save OR export "pack" (eTransmit) option the file menu

@wr.marshall  No worries! The File tab certainly seems to be a logical place for eTransmit. Up until a few years ago eTransmit was a separate add-in to Revit that had to be loaded separately. Probably the reason it still resides on the Add-ins tab.

@kimberly_fuhrman-jones that's where it is in AutoCAD & Inventor(on file tab), so some sort of standardisation between products within reason.
