I need to combine two models into one large model but Revit thinks differently. I just cannot believe that I had to wait couple of hours to get a bunch of errors and warnings and the result will be this. Only possible way is to cancel the whole process because of the stairs. Please give me a break! Could you please do something for this. The stairs works properly in that original model so why they could not work after binding?
It looks like the stairs are partially in model groups. That is something I would avoid at any cost. You could try to bind it without the stairs, but even then; why would you like to bind it?
Yeah I know that Architect has some groups done there but I cannot manage all the workflows what they use ![]()
But still the point was that the binding should anyway work normally and just "copy" the objects rather than cancel the whole process when facing couple of issues. If the stairs are working in another model they also should work after binding.
We do not need to discuss about the reasons for binding. There is plenty of cases where I need that.
And yeah now I can try to bind it without the stairs but it is after two hours of waiting. I should get the list and be able at least to remove or ignore those objects and afterwards try to cope with the removed objects but no. I just have to cancel whole process. That was my point. The error is not the problem but the way Revit is handling it is the problem.
