We are trying to determine how a Central Model might have turned corrupt.
In the process of creating a new Central the user got the following error.
"... missing many elements, and it cannot be opened."
We access a Central Model and Create New Local... for our Local Model files we have chosen to store on user's network drive.
No one else except the user has access to this location.
However, somehow the last modified Date and Time was a whole hour after the user had saved, sync'd back to the Central... and shut down his computer. There was only one other person working on the project past this time.
Please refer to the article HERE for a resolution.
The following Revit help topic has information on clearing this error:
Missing Elements
I would suggest checking the Desktop App to see if there are any Revit updates available. For information on using the Desktop App see the following article: About the Autodesk Desktop App
Note: If you are not able to download updates through the Desktop App, the following article has information on downloading updates through the Autodesk Accounts page: Install Updates, Add-ons, and Enhancements
Let me know if this helps resolve your error.

I went ahead an accepted your solution... Thanks!
However, you failed to answer, or least shed light on my question.
Somehow the user's local file was updated after he (User A) had shut down for the day.
Another user (User B) was still working the model from his local file.
For the life of me, I cannot figure how this could have been?
No worries. I unmarked the solution, as we are still working on your issue.
From your description, it looks like user A is not in the office, and user B continues working on his worksets. More information HERE (user B can work as user A from changing the user ID)
Or it could be possible that user B has created a new central model (has opened the model with Detach from central and created a new central model).
If you continue to face the 'missing elements' error, please send us the journals for the specific users, this will help us troubleshoot further.
More information HERE
Looking forward to your reply update.

That makes some sense... If user B worked as user A from changing the user ID,... would that actually cause an edit to user's A's local file even though user A had already closed down and left for the day? (remember both users are working local files that are ran from their individual user network locations.)
