Revit Decal on vertical cylinder getting cut off

I was trying to wrap a decal to a cylindrical column.  The decal places easily on the column.  The adjustment of the location on the column is easy.  However when I render the view, The decal get chopped off. In this example I have attached the same decal to three different columns, and two walls. The decals show well on the walls. No issues.  However when I decal them to the column, you can see the decal connecting to the column in a cylindrical shape, but each of the decals on the columns, gets cut off.  See attachment: 3D View 1.jpg, to see rendered image of the decals.  See attachment: revit Decal Error-Decal Placement.jpg, to see an image of the placement of the decals.  See attachment: CCC.png, to see the full decal.

I want to figure out what I need to do to get this to render properly in Revit.

How about applying as a Material instead?

Can you share the column family or show its profile on a plan?

Try to rotate the column in Plan view - it will solve the problem .

If you'll try to place the Decal in other positions around the column you will see that there are positions in which it is not cropped

it seems that it is a seem line on the cylindrical face  wraps around the column. This Seem line will cut the Decal. Rotating the column you'l change the seem line position and the Decal will be not cropped any more.

I think the issue is the transition from a flat surface to a curved surface on the column. It shouldn't be a problem if the column is a true cylinder (round). I would model the sign as a thin wrap in the column family, create a material using the image, set it to not tile the image, then apply it to the wrap.
