Revit 'cut' tool cuts a square around a circular shape?

hi there

I'm trying to 'cut' a benchtop around a circular shaped sink and revit cuts a square. how can i get revit to cut around the sink in a circle, not a square? see image.

So, what you are saying is that you can't make a circular void extrusion that you can use to cut a circular hole in the solid geometry?   If so, something must be broken on your end.  Post your file and let us take a whack at it.

Edit the sink family and change the void shape.

i cant see any section in the family where i can amend the void shape?

Like ToanDn said. Edit family and do a round shaped void like in the attached pic.

Also attached a bad example of a round sink with a void but you should be able to figure it out with that 😄

The RFA is "too big"?!  Well then, there's the problem.  😉
