Hello
I´m trying to make a curtain panel family with a nestet family profile there should adjust itself to the curtainwall panel in a project.
I started making a generic model profile, and then loaded in a curtain panel family, then I bind the top and bottom of the profile to the reference planes, and the profile adjust when I am testing the height parameter, so far so good, but when I array the profile to the left and right reference planes and control the height parameter, the numbers of profiles angel itself from the first profile in the top reference planes, and to the last profile at the bottom reference planes.
Somehow all the profiles doesn’t stick to the height reference, and I have trying binding the profile in any ways I could come by, but nothing works.
Hi,
Can you share the family? I mostly place the array with a number of 1 and then constraint it first before I make it another number.

Hi Ralph
here is the family.
I have also considered placeing the array function in the profile family, before loading it in to the curtain wall panel family, but I couldent make that work either
Hi Toan
thanks for your respond
Can you explain your solution for me, I can’t see how I can use a mullion in my case.
I need my profile to adjust automatic to the curtain grid horizontal and mulitiply vertical in between of the curtain grid.
the image below is the closes I have come to make it work, but I still can`t make et attach to all grid lines
If you want it to work the way you're doing it now, you need to have the nested generic model family be able to to stretchable on both ends. You locked it to the Ref Level in an elevation. I created another reference plan at the same level as the REF Level and locked everything to it.
In the main family, i can stretch this generic model in both directions.
After Locking this family to the top and bottom reference plan and then arraying it. It works correctly.
When you set the report dimension, make sure you choose the reference plane and not reference level.
If you choose to use ref level as your report, then you cannot use the report parameter for anything. If you choose the reference plane, then your profile family is able to use the report parameter.
