First off, I am running Windows 10 Home on an external SSD (SanDisk Extreme) which I was able to install by firstly running a Windows partition created on Bootcamp and then cloning it on the SSD. Now, Windows has worked perfectly fine when it comes to other programs, so I feel like the issue is probably not correlated to how the OS installation was performed.
Now onto the issue. When I open up Revit 2023 (or 2022, the issue is the same) I get 3 different error windows.
The first one (some of the text is in italian, sorry):
DBApplication"bb3086be-63bb-44bd-99eb-d584c013cf2f"- Impossibile avviare a causa di un errore di OnStartup. "

I then get 2 more alerts regarding the addons “Collaborate” and “Results Explorer”, but Revit still manages to launch after I close these warnings.
The problem comes up when I create a new project and finally get to the workspace. As soon as I start to actually do some work and clicking stuff, the program just crashes. The error is marked:
CLR exception - code e0434352
I looked it up and read online that it’s the error code used for most of the errors, and found no one with my problem or anyone who could help me for what matters.
Thanks to everyone who’s gonna read this in advance, please help me.

Or is it?
That's some kind of magical thinking. Just because it hasn't been a problem, doesn't mean that it can't be with something new. I've got a feeling the interface with the external drive is causing a bottle neck of data that Revit is choking on, i.e. not fast enough.
