Hello guys and girls, I am new to this forum, and was really hoping for some of your expert advice.
I have been using Revit for a year or so now, and have been using it for my school projects. I had been using Revit 2018 for a few weeks after upgrading it from 2017 and it has been running fine. I recently removed some programs through the control panel, programs I assumed it would be safe to remove as they were Revit 2017 files (material libraries, content libraries etc). Now, unfortunately Revit 2018 will not start, it simply "stops working" before it has even opened. I have tried everything to try and rectify the issue. Perhaps there is a possibility I deleted a program file to do with something else by mistake, that is maybe causing this issue. I have reinstalled my GPU drivers just in case.
I have uninstalled all of the Revit software, reinstalled it, several times, same issue.
Uninstalled all associating software, deleted all data that is anything to do with Revit off the computer completely, reinstalled it, same issue.
I have literally tried everything I can think of or read about.
Unfortunately I do not have a system restore, so am unable to revert back to a working configuration of Revit ![]()
And to make matters worse, my PC which I bought second hand is having other issues so I cannot reset/restore windows!!! All other programs are running absolutely fine on the PC.
Any help at all would be very much appreciate.

The start up error could be due to several reasons.
Have you got other versions of Revit installed, trials etc? Have you moved locations of content libraries to another drive/ file locations?
I recommend you try to repair the Revit version.Windows > Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Program > Autodesk Revit 2018 > Uninstall/Change > Repair or Reinstall > Repair
Try the above suggestions and let me know if it resolves your issue. If not send me a journal file to troubleshoot for errors.
