Revit contour label location

Is it possible to adjust the contour label location so that it is above the topo line instead of right in the middle?

Why would you want to do this? You can limit the intervals, re-position string or don't pull labels in a string at all. Place them one at a time where they look best.

Which is how contours are typically shown on landscape plans. The revit contour feature places them smack in the center of each contour line.

Really @sascari?  In the nearly 3 decades I've been doing this, I have never seen or done contour labels like that.  Maybe it's a US thing.  What part of the world are you from?

No it isn't.  In fact, it would piss me off if I had to read a map with contour labels done that way.

I didn't make up the standards for my profession... Sorry. I guess it can be both, but my office std is above the contour:

You can tell a tale about a lazy draftsman in the chose to write the labels above the lines so that he didn't get to erase the lines to fit the labels.  A good part of drafting drafting standards is to help us draw more efficiently.  That standards make sense when the medium are pencils and erasers.  Not so much now.

LMAO, @ToanDN! I don't know if you go back that far, but that's exactly how we did it back in the hand-drafting days -- by using an Eraser Shield!
