revit cannot align normal wall with curtain wall when normalwall is selected 1st

Hi. I'm just wondering if it's a bug or intended that revit can't align a wall with a curtain wall when the normal wall is selected first. And if it's intended then what's the reason for it? I have attached pictures, although they don't say much, but at least one can see what is selected and in which order.

#1) Align tool is active, curtain wall edge have been selected and mouse cursor is on normal wall edge.

#2) Pressing mouse button and the wall snaps into place.

#3) Align tool is active, normal wall edge have been selected and mouse cursor is on curtain wall edge.

#4) Pressing mouse button. There isn't a 4th image cause pressing the mouse button does not make the (curtain) wall snap into place.

Why is it so?

Hi!

It isn't a normal behavior.
Can you provide more information may be screencast or a file...

Kind regards,
Dmitriy Semko.

You need to Tab to select the curtain wall reference, not the curtain panel.

For now here's the file. Haven't done a screencast before and i have to leave soon. If it's necessary i'll try and do it tomorrow or thursday.

EDIT: btw. it's revit 2016 on windows 7.

As @ToanDN already said, you need to Tab to select the curtain wall reference, not the curtain panel.

The center of the curtain wall and the panel do not match because of panel offset, take a look at panel properties.

Sorry if i haven't been clear enough. I am aware that there is a curtain wall panel and curtain wall reference. But if the curtain wall panel is not meant to be selectable for alignment then why is it's possible (but only when the curtain wall panel edge have been selected first). And what is weird here is that when the curtain wall panel edge is selected first the normal wall edge will snap into place, but when normal wall edge is selected first and then the curtain wall panel edge, it does not snap into place. Hope this makes more sense.

EDIT: Oh i think i understand now, just read ToanDN's post again... So you can align other stuff with the curtain panel edge but the curtain panel edge itself cannot be aligned with anything, but that's just weird.
