I am looking at getting a MOBILE workstation and have read the Autodesk System Requirements and wanted to confirm how this system would do for creation of plans, elevations, and sections in Autocad and 3d Modeling in Revit as well as some surface material rendering. The system I am looking at is a Dell Precision 7720 or Lenovo ThinkPad P71 Workstation with the following specifications:
Intel Core i7-7700HQ Quad Core Processor (6MB Cache, up to 3.80GHz )
16GB DDR4 2400MHz SODIMM (expandable)
512GB SSD PCIe MLC OPAL2
512 GB HDD
NVidia GTX 1060 6GB VRAM or GTX 1070 or GTX 1080 GPU with 8GB VRAM
---or---
Nvidia Quadro P3000 6 GB VRAM or P4000 8 GB VRAM (P5000 is not in my budget at the moment)
17.3" 4K IPS eDP 1.2 (3840x2160), 300nit or QHD
---or---
17.3 inch QHD (2560 x 1440) 120Hz TN+WVA Anti-Glare 400-nits Display
Windows 10 Pro 64 ------or---------Windows 10 Home 64
I could really use advice as I am on a budget but don't want to underspec this, particularly the GPU and Display as they are not upgradeable.
Any help would greatly be appreciated as soon as possible!
Thanks!
