Why is my spot elevation tag reporting the elevation of the toposolid's bottom side and not the desired top side?
In order to create the correct grading of my toposolid, I needed to make the toposolid family 5'-0" thick. Now that I've created the desired grading, I'd like to tag the elevation of a few locations across the new re-graded toposolid.
When I go to tag the toposolid, the Spot Elevation Tag is reporting the elevation of the bottom side of the toposolid, not the topside. My guess is the tag won't pick up on the undulating top surface of the toposolid and just defaults to the flat surface of the toposolid's base. I have another toposolid that has a flat topside and the Elevation Tag reports the top elevation of that toposolid without issue.
I'm confident the tag isn't the issue because it reports the elevations of an undulating toposolid created from a CAD file fine. I'm having a hard time tagging a toposolid created from sketch that has custom modified elevation points.
I appreciate the help in advance.
Huh? Post your File.
...I suspect View Range. Try the Spot Elevation on the "undulating" surface in 3D. Betcha it works flawlessly.
