Revit 23 join countertops disappear in plan

Just upgraded to 2023 and trying out the join casework function.  Tried to join countertops together and it looks correct in 3D but the countertop disappears in plan.  The line of the backsplash still remains.counter.jpg

Edit the family, go to plan view, select and edit the Masking Region, and change the MR's Boundary Linework from <Invisible> to a visible Line Style.

Turns out the countertop family had the visibility setting turned off to display in plan/RCP.  Checking that box worked.  The masking region lines were set to Counter Top [projection] so that wasn't it.

I guarantee you that wasn't the problem.  There's another explanation.  I'm absolutely positive.

If you feel like figuring it out, go through this list of 33. I 'm sure the reason will be found in this list.

This was my same exact issue and the solution you provided did work. Thanks!
Using Revit 2024.

If you turn on the Plan/RCP in Visibility Settings, then it wont show casework below it. The problem is when you join the geometry, your symbolic lines no longer show! That's where I need help at least.
